Cardiff-Boolaroo District Cricket Club first took the field in the 1949/50 season. By 1955/56, the young club had reached the final, facing Hamilton as they pursued a sixth consecutive premiership. The CBs were narrowly defeated by three runs in a heart-stopping decider, but the performance established the competitive spirit that continues to define our club today.

At the CBs, we take pride not only in the cricket we play, but in the way we represent our club on and off the field. Our strong connection with Lake Macquarie Junior Cricket Club provides an important pathway into senior cricket, with many local juniors progressing to play at a high level. Developing players from within remains central to the future of our club.

Our ambition is clear: to become the strongest club in Newcastle and challenge for the Club Championship every season.

We are based at Pasterfield Sports Complex in Cameron Park - one of the region’s premier community sporting facilities and the proud home of the CBs.

A proud CB's Life Member, Scott Richardson has spent his entire life in the Newcastle region and brings a deep understanding of the local community and property landscape. With over 20 years of experience in Architecture before transitioning into Real Estate, Scott offers a unique perspective on both residential and commercial property. His passion for the industry, combined with his expertise and client-first approach, has seen him rise quickly through the ranks, becoming a part owner in the business. Outside of work, Scott enjoys quality time with family and friends, whether at home or holidaying. A keen sports enthusiast, he loves cricket, soccer, tennis, and golf.
