Cardiff Boolaroo district cricket club

Cardiff-Boolaroo made our debut in the 1949-50 season. By 1955-56 we were a finalist and featured in a heart stopping decider with Hamilton who were going for their sixth final win in succession. Western Lakes eventually lost by three runs but the young club had shown a fine competitive spirit.  

 

Here at CBs we pride ourselves on the type of cricket we play and the way we hold ourselves on the field. We have strong connections with our junior club, Lake Macquarie Junior Cricket Club and have seen a number of these junior players go on to play very strong high level cricket. The importance of building the club from within is not lost to us and are very lucky to have the best cricket coaches in Newcastle in Mark Curry and Mark Littlewood.

 

We have very clear goals to become the strongest club in Newcastle and aim to win the club championship every season.
