CBs are very proud to have a strong relationship with HMF in which we raise awareness of the dangers of Melanoma, especially to players, and encourage everyone involved in our club to take proactive steps to protect everyone in and around our club.
This relationship continues to gain strength year on year as we find ways to support each other in a unique partnership which sees club and foundation benefit.

Last season CBs were proud to run a fundraising event with players, volunteers and families with all profits donated to the HMF. We also donated all proceeds of an auctioned pieced of signed memorabilia at our 75th anniversary dinner.
CBs Master's and U/21s teams were lucky enough to wear shirts donated by the HMF in their games. These pink "watermelon" shirts are similar to those worn by HMF and help to continue to raise awareness for HMF throughout the cricket communities in the region. These shirts are made out of the newest and best materials with a SPF 50+ protective rating ensuring the best protection for our players.

About HMF
The Hunter Melanoma Foundation (HMF) was formed in 1986 to provide moral and financial support to the Newcastle Melanoma Unit. As a registered charity administered by a voluntary board elected by the members, the Foundation’s income is derived solely from membership fees, donations and fundraising activities. These funds are directed into patient facilities, staff development within the Newcastle Melanoma Unit, research equipment and projects as well as educational and awareness programs. Every cent raised, stays right here in the Hunter. The foundation provides a significant support base for patients with melanoma and their families. Ultimately the aim is to assist in the prevention and cure of Melanoma through education, awareness, research and treatment.
